Mazda B-Series Review
The 2008 Mazda b-series is a pickup stuck in the 90s. Essentially a re-skinned Ford Ranger, the b-series is Mazda's compact pickup. On the plus side, the truck's compact nature means it is nimble and fuel efficient, something that is very important in today's world. However the B-series falls short of it's competitors in a lot of ways. Other compact pickups have been moving forward into the new automotive age by offering more passenger space, luxury features, and other top line innovations, while the b-series remains largely unchanged from the 90s. The truck comes in either regular or extended cab, and the engine is based on the model. The B2300 comes with a 2.3 liter four cylinder with 143 horsepower and 154 lb-ft of torque, the B3000 features a 3.0 liter V6, putting out 148 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque, and the B4000 has a 4.0 liter V6 with 207 horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque. There are five speed manual and automatic transmission choices. Finally, all models except the B2300, which only comes in two wheel drive, allow for four or two wheel drive choices. While this isn't a horrible truck, it is outdated and outclassed by other, more innovative compact pickups.
