Isuzu i-290 Review

The 2008 Isuzu i-290 extended cab is an interesting vehicle. Isuzu has stopped selling it's own vehicles here in the U.S., and instead relies on deals with major U.S. Auto makers to stay alive here. The Isuzu i-290 is an example of such a deal. It is essentially a different looking Chevrolet Colorado, featuring the same mechanics and basic design, however there are some differences. The extended cab is definitely not a car for a family. The rear seats are tiny, and are more for storage space then anything, so the truck really only seats two comfortably. The quality of the truck is questionable, with interior quality being on the lower end of the scale, but as long as you come in not looking for luxury you will be satisfied. The truck runs on a 185 horsepower 2.9 liter four cylinder, this engine comes standard with a five speed manual transmission, with a four speed automatic as an option. While this isn't necessarily a bad truck, it pales in comparison with most other compact/midsize pickups, such as the Toyota Tacoma or the Nissan Frontier, this is due in large part because of the fact that GMC is notorious for being hard to translate to other companies, so if you really want this truck, you'd be better off with a Canyon or a Colorado.
