HUMMER H2 SUT Review
Hummer has had an interesting past 10 years. Originally a purveyor of military style trucks, the company didn't appeal to much other than the military and consumer's fantasies. Seeing a hummer was cool and you would always think I'd love to have one of those but that's just what old hummers were, a fantasy. Recently, however, Hummer has gone in a new direction, offering much more practical trucks and SUVs. Perhaps the most popular of these trucks is the H2, part SUV part truck, the SUT version sports a full on pickup bed. This is still an H2 though, so it is a 4 door, 5 passenger luxury pickup, which features three levels of trim, starting at the base version, and moving up through an adventure and a luxury version. The engine is a 6.2 liter V8, putting out 403 horsepower, and running on flex fuel. A six speed overdrive automatic transmission is mated to the engine. The problems with this and other hummers are the same, cost an fuel efficiency. With gas prices rising, it's hard to justify owning a vehicle like a Hummer, and when you see the $57,000 price tag you will realize this is, honestly, an extravagant truck.
