Ford Ranger Review

The 2008 Ford Ranger is Ford's compact pickup truck, and it's a decent choice for those looking for a small, nimble truck. It's not the most modern of compact trucks, lacking in many of the body style options that most new small-midsized trucks offer. Featuring only a standard or extended cab, it could do with an update with the addition of a crew cab. The engine is a 2.3 liter, four cylinder, 3.0 liter V6, or a 4.0 liter V6. Transmissions offered are five speed manual or automatic for the smaller engines, while the 4,0 liter V6 only comes with an automatic transmission. Without a bigger engine and cab, the Ranger is seriously behind the game when it comes to the compact pickup. It's competitors are much more modern, with bigger cabs and bigger engines. The ranger is nimble, however, as it's small size means that whether offroading or trying to find a parking space, you will have no problem maneuvering the truck, and four wheel drive means you can get the most out of the vehicle when doing some driving on dirt or mud. Ultimately it's not the best choice for compact truck buyers, but it's not the worst choice either.
