Dodge Ram 1500 Review
The mid 90s saw a major re-design in the Dodge Ram line, and skyrocketed Dodge to the forefront of the full size pickup battlefield. The 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 is the lightest truck in the Ram lineup, but it's still a heavy duty, full size machine. The exterior styling is attractive, modeled after big rig semi trucks, just looking at it tells you that this is not a truck to be trifled with. Available in regular and quad cab, the Ram can also be purchased with a Mega Cab. The mega cab is 20 inches longer than the quad cab, and offers 44 inches of rear seat legroom, so no longer will the kids be the only ones comfortable in the back seat. Unfortunately, the bed options on the Mega cab are limited to short bed, while the quad cab supports short and long beds. The three engines available are a 3.7-liter V6 at 215 HP, which is available on the regular cab with 2WD, a 4.7-liter V8 putting out 310 hp and a Hemi 5.7-liter V8 with 345 hp. The latter two options can be purchased in two or four wheel drive. Any are a good choice!
