Chevrolet Uplander Cargo Van Review
The Chevrolet Uplander is a full size minivan from Chevrolet. Chevy has long been in the back of the pack when it comes to minivans, never seeming to match or outdo the competition, just fall in right behind it. The Uplander, however, is a decent minivan that is a fine purchase for anyone needing the seating space for a family. The van is available in regular and long wheelbase models. The drivetrain is Front-wheel drive only, and the engine behind the minivan is a 3.9 liter, 240 horsepower V6, this engine is the only option on this particular minivan. The van can be purchased in LS and LT trim, bot seat seven with a folding third row seat. Safety is a concern, as while the Uplander has decent safety rep, it falls short of other popular vans out there. The interior, however, is excellent. Luxuries like power seats and doors meet climate control and media systems that would impress any road warrior. An overhead DvD player is perfect for entertaining kids on a long car trip, and the PhatNoise digital media center lets you store songs on a hard drive. With all of these interior options the Uplander is a decent choice of minivan, but the safety issues, while minor, are a concern.
