Toyota Trucks

Truck Reviewer

Toyota trucks remain highly competitive in the full size and compact pick up truck class. They have been refined over the years to incorporate more of the essential creature comforts for the driver and passengers as well as to be more appealing from an aesthetic point of view. With the intention of being durable and dependable the Toyota trucks are a value for the consumer.

The Tacoma has been one of the Toyota trucks that hit the market with intention and has been one of the leaders ever since its debut more than ten years ago. With a higher price tag than many of the domestic competitors, there is still a large following of consumers that prefer the Toyota design. The reliability factor has created a firm place for Toyota trucks on the US market.

The Tacoma was initially considered to be aimed at a physically smaller population as the driver’s capacity for comfort failed to meet basic standards for people over 5.6 feet. A little redesigning was all it took to allow taller drivers to fit comfortably behind the wheel and encourage the Toyota truck fans to introduce themselves to Tacoma ownership.

With numerous trims, styles, and option packages the Tacoma is quite capable of handling everything from an icy roadway to off road and weekend adventures. It can haul the daily cargo for small businesses and is more than practical when it comes to the work site. As Toyota trucks continue their competitive edge, the consumer finds that improvements over the years are worthwhile and well thought out.

Toyota trucks also released the Tundra, which is a full size pick up that can square off against any of the leaders. Despite its capabilities and performance abilities the Tundra was flocked to by those who were not hard core pick up truck workhorses. Instead the Tundra appealed to the routine weekend project driver that needed a little extra space to carry cargo but didn’t need the hard core powerhouses of the day. Toyota trucks have developed a reputation for high end performance and longevity that has caught the attention of hard core workers and long distance commuters.

The Tundra was initially underpowered and to make sure that Toyota trucks stayed on the market the initial redesign was overhauled and the towing capacity and power performance of the original design was detailed. This led to an increase in interest from all walks of life, and the second generation became the full power version that was needed.

The Tundra offers lots of different packages and several trims in order to maintain its competitive nature against Ford, Chevy, and GMC. With lots of options and a bed that can reach a full 8 feet, the Tundra has been a progressive improvement since its initial release.

For the average consumer and those who need a powerful work truck either the Tacoma or the Tundra will suit. These trucks offer a comfortable and quiet ride while performing on the roadways or on off road excursions.
