Lincoln Trucks

Lincoln trucks were perhaps the company’s greatest challenge when it came to designing the luxury vehicles of choice. The initial release of a Lincoln truck was the Blackwood. It did not seemingly live up to the standard set by luxury vehicles and was harshly criticized. Perhaps this was to the benefit of the company as they soon released the Mark LT.
The Mark LT is what you would come to expect from Lincoln trucks. With sleek lines, interior quality design, and practicality combined into one sweet package this was a much more successful attempt to enter the luxury pick up class. Consumers could choose the length of their bed as it came in a 5.5 foot version and a 6.5 foot version. The interior layout is spacious and offers the consumer a smooth and quiet ride.
Many have compared Lincoln trucks to the dressed up version of the Ford F-150. With practical uses that seem to be nearly the same, the styling, interior upgrades, and of course the Lincoln look are certainly attributes. However when you compare the F-150 Platinum to the Lincoln trucks you find a range of similarities.
Wood trim, leather seats, heated front seats, satellite radio that plays through a premium CD player with MP3 player input, keyless entry, and lots of little additions that make a luxury vehicle luxurious are the most notable standard interior features. With options packages that include everything from chrome 18 inch wheels to running boards and a power rear window the Lincoln trucks are certainly in the luxurious range. The ease of controls and the fine feel of the wheel and shifter handle are certain marks of luxury.
Not to be outdone, Lincoln trucks also come with ample power to make them equally as useful in the real world as they are attractive in the showroom. The V8 engine provides enough power to get the towing under control and the hauling done while dressing up in time for a night out. The power was not necessarily well fitted to comfortable steering packages. The handling was a little questionable, although certainly not outrageous.
By paying attention to the finer details of the interior trim and the exterior styling, the Lincoln trucks were built to be head turners. There are many trucks on the road that can offer the same power, more power, higher towing capacity, and greater fuel economy but there aren’t many trucks on the road that can turn as many heads. From the driver’s seat the interior is beautifully fashioned, with exposed stitching on all the trim leather and a smooth layout that is definitely of high class.
The models that were released and are currently available have different packages so consumers should shop around to find exactly what they need. In the long run, these are vehicles that are built to last and will provide long term class with proper care. Each model could be made to consumer specs and thus there is one out there for just about every need.
